So why is
the Wincher so strong? Its the winch box. So called "light
weight" bumpers utilize thin steel with lots of bends in an attempt
to
make them rigid. In reality, they bend like a banana under a
heavy
winch load. Every Wincher features a winch box with a 1/4
bottom,
front, and side that is tied directly to the frame via the
mounting
brackets. The balance of the Wincher is constructed of
3/16" formed
or tube steel. Yet the weight is kept reasonable: 105 to
150 pounds
depending on bumper and options.

strength D rings.
